How could my kindergarteners make use of a blog ? Some of them are still learning to idenitfy the letters of the alphabet therefore I don't think they would actually be able to type anything. Maybe I could use this as an enrichment activity for my students who are reading? I think either way I would need some volunteers. What about having those students read a book and we could blog about it ?

    I am with you on this Virginia! I am still waiting to be inspired with the use/purpose of blogs in a classroom of young learners. I just posted an idea on my blog...perhaps as a class we blog an upcoming unit. I was thinking of my spring unit "Life Cycle of Plants". This may work, but is it worth it? I know you are half day k-time is such a factor! Maybe our classes could blog together later in the year :)

    I think your half day schedule would make it rough to get blogging in....maybe it is something they could do with Ms. Rich as enrichment.

    I agree that it would be difficult for your students to work on a blog unless you did it as a whole group. I like the idea of blogging about a book. I also think it would be difficult with your schedule but you could combine it with another activity.
